John Lazar

Born and raised in Matawan, NJ. 2007 graduate of Matawan Regional High School. 2 year starter at Left Guard/ Defensive Tackle for the Huskies. Recipient of the Star Ledger under-rated performer of the year for Monmouth County 2006. Represented Matawan in the 2007 All-Shore game playing for Monmouth County. Member of the 2007 All Shore academic team. 2007 Army Scholar Athlete Award Recipient. 2007 MFAF Maroon and Steel Award and scholarship recipient. Football and academic scholarship recipient to Division 2 Pace University. Later attended Brookdale Community College and Rutgers University, earning a degree in Political Science.
Elected Matawan Borough Councilman 2019-2021. Elected Council President in 2021. During time in office: Chairman of the Finance Committee, which oversees Matawan Boroughs $12 million yearly budget. Chairman of the Matawan Environmental Commission; helped organize yearly town-wide cleanups and the first annual “Paddle the Lake Clean” event. Founder of Handy Helpers New Jersey, an organization of neighbors that assists elderly and disabled residents with minor home repairs, meal delivery and special assistance. Current Treasurer and Board Member for the Matawan Historical Society. Currently works as Payroll Specialist for one of the largest engineering and design firms in the country, Colliers Engineering and Design of Red Bank.

Scott Bellone, President and CEO has owned and operated Home Entertainment Systems, Inc., a customer-focused business for 24 years. HES is the leader in Total Home Automation Design Solutions and delivers exceptional quality services. With more than 3,000 customers, HES designs, installs and services audio/video equipment and control systems in single-family homes, multi-dwelling units and various commercial projects. Scott founded the company based on his true commitment to customer service.
Prior to HES, Scott worked for a leading alarm installation and service company in New Jersey. He developed an expertise in business to consumer sales as well as service delivery systems that far exceeded competitors. He implemented these programs at HES and has the leading edge in the Total Home Automation industry.
Scott is a long-time resident of Matawan, NJ and a dedicated volunteer with local organizations where he serves as Assistant Head Coach of the St. John Vianney Baseball Team.
Joe Martucci

Joe was the Head Football Coach at Matawan Regional High School for 28 years. While serving as coach, he amassed a record of 197-91-1, won 10 conference championships and 5 state championships. Under his tutelage, Matawan made it to the state playoffs for 20 years out of his 28-year-career. Joe took the team to 10 semi-finals and appeared in the finals 7 times. He has been inducted into the Matawan Football Alumni Foundation Hall of Fame, the Shore Conference Hall of Fame and the NJSCA Hall of Fame.
Joe and his wife Patricia have been married for 43 years and they have two children, Joseph Jr. and Melissa. Joe and Patricia also have five grandchildren: Joseph, Antoinette, Olivia, Luke and Jordan.
Glen Dwyer

On the gridiron, Glen was an all-county, all-shore lineman, whose collegiate career ran through The University of Michigan and NAIA Salem (WV) University where he graduated with a BS in Accounting.
Glen joined Capital Funding Group in August of 2008 and is now the Executive Managing Director and President of all commercial lending and syndications for Capital Funding, LLC, Capital Finance, LLC, Capital Lending & Mortgage, LLC, as well as for CFG Community Bank. The businesses specific to Glen’s oversight covers capital solutions for borrowers specific to the healthcare industry. The collective companies are responsible for lending or managing $6B of loans. Prior to The Capital Funding Group family of Companies, Mr. Dwyer was employed with Rosenthal & Rosenthal, Inc., a private, commercial lender located in New York City.
Glen resides in Morganville with his wife Ellen and son Jim.

Former President of the Matawan Football Alumni Foundation, Chris is a year 2000 graduate of Matawan Regional. While at Matawan, Chris captained the football team and earned All-State and All-Shore honors.
Chris continued his football career at Duke University where he was elected team captain. He graduated from Duke in 2004 with a degree in Sociology and minor in History. After graduating, Chris went on to play football in both Finland and France. He began his college coaching career as Offensive Coordinator at Pace University in 2008, where he would later go on to become Head Football Coach from 2010-2013. Chris now enjoys a successful career as a Financial Advisor with Northeast Financial Network in Cranford, New Jersey where he resides with his wife Francesca and daughter Theadora.

Former Vice President of the Matawan Football Alumni Foundation, Chris is a 1993 graduate of Matawan Regional. He is also a member of the famed back-to-back championship teams of ’92 and ’93. Chris attended Kean University where he earned his degree in Business and graduated in 1998. Chris has enjoyed a 19-year career in pharmaceutical sales with Pfizer and is now a District Sales Manager in central New Jersey. He and his wife Lisa have been married for twelve years. They have two children, Katelyn 10 and Tyler 7 as well as their Golden Doodle, Ginger.
Jeff Shaw

The founding President of the Matawan Football Alumni Foundation, Jeff is a 1980 graduate of Matawan Regional. While playing for Matawan, he earned All-Shore honors. Jeff continued his football career at Michigan University where he participated in the 1981 Rose Bowl. He graduated from Salem College in 1985 with a degree in accounting, earning ALL – WVIAC honors for three years. Jeff was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1986.
Jeff has enjoyed a career as a Financial Systems Analyst for 30 years. He has worked for Exxon, ADP National Westminster Bank and, for the last 18 years, for Marsh & McLennan.
He and his wife Norreen have been married for 20 years they have a 14-year-old daughter, Sierra.

Rich graduated from Matawan Regional High School in 1976, where he was a member of the 1975 undefeated State Championship Team. He earned All-Shore football honors in 1975 and All-Shore baseball honors in 1975 and 1976. Rick went on to Brookdale Community College where he was the Captain of the Baseball Team and, from there, he went to East Carolina University where he was a member of the baseball team. Rick graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Criminal Justice and holds a Master’s Degree in Administrative Science from Farleigh Dickinson University. He has served with the Aberdeen Township Police Department since 1985 and is currently the Deputy Chief of Police.

Graduating from Matawan Regional High School in 1981, Bruce went on to Monmouth University where he graduated in 1985. He also lettered at Albright College. Bruce has worked for Elangy Corporation since 1985 as a controller. Bruce has two children, Brian, 28 and Brad, 25.

Joe Vaccarella is responsible for the MFAF website and for Social Media activities. He has been a part of the Matawan Football Alumni Foundation as a founding member since its inception. Graduating in 1993, Joe was a part of one of the most dynamic football teams at MRHS: The 1992 team that finished with a record of 10-1 and was part of winning the “back-to-back” state championship title in 1992. Joe is a graduate of West Virginia University where he studied Communications and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Joe is Senior Vice President of Software Solutions for Radancy Inc. He is responsible for strategic software solutions, where he is a key technical advisor for the organization as well as for his clients.
Joe is a resident of East Greenwich Township in Southern New Jersey and enjoys spending any free time he has with his wife Natalie and children Joseph, Nicholas and Maria. He also has been a very active volunteer in his local community as a youth sports coach.

Mike graduated from Matawan Regional High School in 1994 where he earned All-County, All-Shore and All-State honors. He then went on to continue his education at the University of Maryland, where he graduated in 1998 with a degree in Political Science. While at Maryland, he was President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity as well as a Member of Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society. He currently holds the title of the youngest member of the board of trustees at the University of Maryland.
Mike is a self-made entrepreneur, a self-proclaimed hustler, and a former CEO who bootstrapped his first business, Industry Retail Group, in 2004 with just $15,000, and, in 2016, sold the company for more than $50 million. While at the helm of The LVE Group, he continues to service client businesses to deliver optimal performance via human capital consulting and strategic investment opportunities.

Matawan Football Alumni Foundation board member, James is a 1979 Matawan Regional High School graduate where he was a two-year starter for the Matawan Huskies at Defensive back and Wing Back. He is also a member of the state champion pop warner Matawan Falcons. James went on to graduate from West Virginia University in 1985 with a degree in Landscape Architecture. He has enjoyed a 30+ year career in civil engineering, landscape architecture and land surveying. James resides in Ocean Township.
