Joe Bucco Sr. was born and raised on Harrison Avenue in Matawan. He played on Matawan Football Championship teams in 1946 and 1947. Throughout his life he was active in the Matawan community, serving as a member of the Matawan Borough recreation committee, and eventually as the full-time director, following his retirement from Jersey Central Power & Light Co. Joe was a proud supporter of the Matawan Football program and a member of the Matawan Football Alumni Foundation until his death in 2006. It is for his lifelong support and dedication to the Matawan Football program that the MFAF is proud to name this annual event in his honor.
The MFAF would like to thank all who participate in this event and enjoy their day on the links.

Our 11th Annual banquet was huge success! A big THANK YOU! to our business sponsors, athletes, their families and Alumni who sponsored student athletes for our 11th Annual awards banquet. The MFAF committee greatly appreciates your continued support to this incredibly successful program.
MC Scott Bellone, Speaker Mike Luzio, and inductors Rick Derechailo, Rickey Butler and Mr. Rizzo did a great job.
Inductees Gary Weber and Eddie Steward did a great job too!
We paused to remember Vinny Migliore, John Gorman and Coach Kaye’s Father.

MFAF Award – Dance Team member Marianne Santimauro
Peter Bellone Sr. Award – Jake Weber

Each year gets better and better. We truly believe, in our 11 years of existence, that we have made a difference as there have been 3 State Championships in the last 5 years.
Prior to 2009 there was a 17 year drought. Let’s keep our support going!!! This team only had 10 seniors so 2015 can be another special year!

The Matawan Football Alumni Foundation remembered fallen Husky Lancy Tumulty with this luminary at Tuesday's Children "Rise Up Downtown" event on September 13, 2013. Lance was taken from us far too early in the tragic events of 9/11/01. You will always be remembered Lance.
The Matawan Football Alumni Association congratulates Coach Joseph Martucci on his induction to the Shore Conference Hall of Fame. The induction took place at the Shore Conference Gridiron Classic held on July 18, 2013 at Toms River North.
